With a brand new beautifully manicured playing surface and ocean views abundant, Tari Frahm Rokus Field is without a doubt the most beautiful setting in college soccer. While the success on the field of competition has been incredible, the venue itself has fallen behind our competitors and peer institutions in terms of amenities, fan experience, and overall in-game environment. Aligning with President Jim Gash’s message that our athletic facilities need to match our athletic achievements and endeavors, we are embarking on an initiative to upgrade and install a state of the art video scoreboard at this incredible facility. This new board is one of the first steps towards making this venue not only the most scenic, but also the best in college athletics.
While the upgrade to our athletics facility will be nice, there is an even more exciting opportunity with this initiative. Not only will this enhanced video scoreboard modernize the game day experience for our athletic events each year, it will also present a way for the broader Pepperdine Family to come together and join in community. From enjoying movies with friends, colleagues, and fellow on campus residents, to cheering on Pepperdine’s athletic teams while they compete away from Malibu, this video scoreboard will present a new way to to gather the Pepperdine community together—outdoors and sprawled across the grass—to take advantage of our beautiful campus.
